Affected by the change up to the most intimate elements and components, the contemporary culture seems to essentially evolve under the new, radically reoriented relationship between three of its basic horizons : creation, communication (diffusion), reception. More than ever, the last item of this triad deeply marks the meaning and the destiny of culture at present and in the predictable future. The prominence of reception and, indissolubly related there too, diffusion and socialization is necessarily determined by its spectacular passing from "individuality" to "community". It is an inevitable consequence from the cultural point of view of the masses being more active and their bursting into the arena of history throughout the planet.

Slash gallery is an independent platform intending to research the visual field which nowadays is dealt with under the incidence of all factors - internal and external - modulating the evolution of art, so from the angle of the entire system of relationships that art builds with its historical and social environment and with its own history.

Afectata de schimbare pana in cele mai intime elemente si resorturi, cultura contemporana pare sa evolueze esentialmente sub noua, radical reorientata relatie intre trei orizonturi fundamentale ale sale : creatie, comunicare (difuzare), receptare. Mai mult ca oricand, ultimul termen al triadei anuntate marcheaza profund sensul si destinul culturii in prezent si in viitorul previzibil. Preeminenta receptarii si indisolubil legate de ea, a difuzarii si socializarii culturii este determinata in mod necesar de spectaculoasa sa trecere din zona "individualitatii" in cea a "comunitatii". Este o consecinta inevitabila in plan cultural a activizarii maselor, a irumperii lor in arena istoriei pe intreaga planeta.

Slash gallery este o platforma independenta care isi propune sa cerceteze campul vizual al artei contemporane, abordat astazi sub incidenta totalitatii factorilor - interni si externi - care moduleaza evolutia artei, asadar, din unghiul intregului sistem de relatii pe care arta il construieste cu mediul sau istoric si social precum si cu propria sa istorie.
